Draft

Privacy policy

Last updated:

This is a plain-language draft and is still being reviewed. It is not legal advice.

Here is what we keep, what we never keep, who helps us run the service, and the choices you have.

AI Interior Design is run by [OPERATOR NAME], company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS].

Your room photo

In short: We use your photo once, to make your redesign. We do not keep the original or show it to anyone.

We send your photo to fal.ai to create the redesign. We do not save the original on our own storage and we never show it publicly. Only the redesigned image can appear in the gallery.

fal.ai processes the image under its own terms and privacy policy. Its documentation says generated media is served from a content network and kept for a default period, so see fal.ai’s site for how long they keep it.

What we store

In short: Redesigned images and their details, plus anonymous usage numbers if analytics is allowed.

This is everything we keep about your use of the service.

What we store
WhatWhyPublic?
Generated imagesTo show you your redesign and, if public, in the galleryOnly if you make it public
Design details (room, style, features, title)To describe each design and build its pageOnly if the design is public

What we never store

In short: Your original room photo and your card details.

We do not keep:

  • The original photo of your room.
  • Your card number or other payment card details. When payments launch, our payment provider handles them.

Why we may use your data

In short: We need a legal reason to use personal data, and we use these.

Under UK data protection law we rely on:

  • Contract: to make the redesign you ask for.
  • Legitimate interests: to keep the service secure and working, and to understand how it is used in a way that respects your privacy.
  • Consent: for analytics storage, where the law requires it, and you can withdraw it at any time.
  • Legal obligation: where we must keep or share records by law.

Who helps us run the service

In short: A few companies process data for us, only to provide their service.

These companies act for us. Some are outside the UK; where that happens, they rely on recognised transfer safeguards.

How long we keep things

In short: Public images stay until you or we remove them. Everything else we keep only as long as we need it.

Public redesigns stay in the gallery until they are removed. You can ask us to remove one at any time. We keep records we must keep by law for as long as the law says, and delete other data when it is no longer needed.

Your rights

In short: You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and complain to the regulator.

You can ask to see your personal data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy. Email us and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Children

In short: The site is not for children.

The site is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

In short: We will update the date and tell you about important changes.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will say so on the site before it applies.

Email us at waterflowai@gmail.com and we will reply as soon as we can.
